| Pershimco Resources is developing two properties: the wholly-owned Courville gold property, located 44 km from Val-d’Or, Quebec, and the high-silver-potential San Miguel property in northern Mexico, where the company has an option to acquire a 100% interest. The substantial rise in precious and base metal prices and the availability of modern mining methods make exploration in Quebec an attractive investment, particularly in established mining camps. The Courville property comprises five areas: the Thibodeau intrusive, a large, open-pit minable deposit, and the adjacent old Pershing-Manitou mine, Grande-Ville, Esteville and Berthiaume sectors. The Grande-Ville property hosts two large gold showings and one induced-polarization anomaly. An exploration program is planned based on the results of a study by the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune (MRNF) indicating the presence of a major volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) showing. In January 2005, the company accomplished what few juniors ever achieve, a first gold pour. In 2004, Pershimco Resources acquired the exploration rights to the
old San Miguel mine, which had already produced
250,000 to 300,000 tonnes of ore to a depth of 152 m. The company
has rehabilitated the mine, and now plans to delineate the near-term
minable resource in the high-grade silver zones.
